Reconstruct Your Smile Today

Just about any treatment that can repair and restore your teeth can be part of a full-mouth reconstruction. The first step is to get a full dental exam by Dr. Cavendish to better understand the problems. Once the results are shared with you, you’ll work with Dr. Matthew Cavendish to create a plan to repair your smile. Usually, full-mouth reconstructions include dental crowns & bridges, implants, and dentures.

Replace A Missing Tooth

There are two ways to replace a tooth: a dental bridge or a dental implant.

  • With a dental bridge, a replacement tooth is held in place by a pair of dental crowns. These are placed on the teeth on either side of the gap. It doesn’t last as long as a dental implant, but it does not require oral surgery and is more affordable.
  • With a dental implant, a replacement tooth is connected to an artificial root implanted in your jawbone. It requires surgery, but it lasts for 20 years or more and is very secure. You can even get dental implants the same day you come in for your surgery.

Solve Your Concern Mini Dental Implants

Some people have trouble with regular dental implants. That’s why we offer mini dental implants as well in our Phoenix, AZ dental office. These use an artificial root and a replacement tooth like regular implants, but the root is much smaller. It can be used in places where a regular implant would be too big. Because they are smaller and less invasive, they are also good for when a jawbone isn’t thick enough for regular-sized implants.

Fill Gaps in Smile With Dentures

Dentures are still a great way to replace a full arch of teeth (all of the teeth on the top or bottom of your mouth). This treatment consists of a full arch of replacement teeth in a gum-colored base. With the help of a little nontoxic adhesive, you place them snugly over your gums to regain your smile.

Support Dentures With Durable Dental Implants

Some people have problems keeping their dentures in place. The adhesive can give out, and your dentures can move or even fall out unexpectedly. If you worry about this, there is an alternative at our Phoenix, AZ dental office. Dr. Matthew Cavendish can use four implants to stabilize dentures. Instead of connecting a single replacement tooth to each implant, we’ll connect a whole arch of replacement teeth. This keeps them securely in your mouth.
